Bright Bar

Bright Bars are steel or metal bars that are produced by one or more cold finishing processes. The processes outlined below are known as Cold Finish processes or the the end products are known as cold finished because there is no or very little heat applied in the entire operation of converting them from hot rolled bars (also known as black bars) to cold finished bars or Bright Steel Bars. Bright steel bar is usually a Carbon Steel alloy which has had the surface condition improved by drawing, peeling or grinding over the hot rolled finish supplied by the steel mill. Advantages achieved include improved machining, less wastage at component production stage, enhancement of physical and mechanical properties and improved dimensional tolerances and straightness. Bright drawn steel is essentially black steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. The term bright drawn is mistakenly used on all products, when actually the product name refers to the rolling of flat rolled sheet and coil products. Our Stainless Steel Bright Bars division is engaged in the production and export of cold finished bright bars in the shape of Round, hexagon, square and flat in vast size range. We manufacture bright bars in sizes ranging from diameter 3mm to 600 mm.
