Hex Bar

Usually called Hex Bar also known as Hexagonal Bar. Most metal produced by a steel mill or aluminium plant is formed (via rolling or extrusion) into long continuous strips of various size and shape. The most common shapes are round bar (also called rod), rectangular bar (including square bar, the special case of equal sides), and hexagonal bar. Stainless steel hex bars are primarily used for manufacturing components such as nuts, hex bolts and special components like Thermowells and hex head plugs, etc. All of these components are used extensively around the world in a lot of industries. Thickness range is 1/16" to 28" diameter Hex Bar Production Cutting Nido Metals can provide production cutting for product diameters up to 4". We utilize Amanda Production Equipment to achieve these precision cuts with tight tolerances. Hex Bar Polishing Products polished included all tubular products, with OD & ID polishing available, Round Bar, Square Bar, Hex & Flat bar, Angles, Uneven Leg Angles, beams, and other shapes.

Value Added for Hex Bar

The following value added services can be provided by Nido Metals Products in order to meet the exact specifications of your stainless steel bar requirements. Stainless Steel Bar Value Added Options Stainless Steel Bar Polishing Nido Metals can polish nearly any stainless steel bar item to a #4 polish, #6 Polish, #7 polish or a #8 mirror finish. Stainless steel polished bar can also be cut to size. Pitt free surfaces can also be provided. Heatreating & Annealing Some grades of stainless steel bars can be heatreated to change the mechanical properties. Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels such as 17-4PH can be heatreated. 410 stainless steel bar can also be heatreated. In some cases, secondary annealing 300 series stainless steel may be required depending on the application Positive Material Identification (PMI) Nido Metals can perform PMI testing in house for most stainless steel grades, or we can work with independent labs to complete PMI in order to meet customer specifications. UT Testing In some cases, UT testing of the stainless steel bar may be required. We can assist you with this requirement. Need 1,100 pieces of 7/8" 303 round bar cut to 2-1/8" long?
